Things to Do in Woodstock
Woodstock is a beautiful city with access to plenty of things to do. There are so many nature trails and parks to enjoy and spend time in the great outdoors. Some of the popular trails are the Thames Valley Trail, which runs along the Thames River. Another favourite is the Woodstock Art Gallery, which has permanent and temporary exhibits. The gallery is located downtown, If you enjoy golfing there are plenty of great courses all around.
There is always a festival to a cultural event happening to check out and enjoy. Be sure to check out the Woodstock Winter Carnival, the Woodstock Fair, and the Oxford County Exhibition. Between June and September, the weather is warm, drawing tourists who are keen on farm hopping, outdoor patio dining, picnics in the park, scenic cycles and river rides. In the Fall, Woodstock transforms into gorgeous dreamland colour as rural roads light up with colourful red, orange and yellow coloured trees.
The Woodstock area has three different school boards to serve school-aged children. These districts are the Thames Valley District School Board, London District Catholic School Board (LDCSB) and the Conseil Scolaire Catholique Providence. These schools serve students from kindergarten through twelfth grade. These districts are highly rated and the boards have representation from Woodstock. Your students will receive great academic instruction and have the ability to participate in athletics or other extracurriculars.
